About Nyle Maxwell

Nyle Maxwell has held many titles over the course of his life: businessman, philanthropist, and conservationist. A University of Texas Longhorn, Nyle was born in Austin where he also met his wife, Nancy. After raising their family in Round Rock where Nyle served as Mayor from 2002 - 2008, Nancy and Nyle now live in Georgetown where they continue to be very active in community service.

For 40 years, Nyle has been a leader in the auto industry. He is currently the CEO of Nyle Maxwell Family of Dealerships which is comprised of four Nyle Maxwell locations in the Austin area, Castroville, and Killeen. He also serves as Chair of the Stellantis National Dealer Council. From running his first dealership in Taylor in 1984 to acquiring a new Killeen store in 2021, Nyle is committed to the Stellantis brand and all that it offers his customers.

When not selling cars, Nyle is devoted to philanthropy. Founder of the Greater Round Rock Community Foundation, he currently serves as its Chair and has overseen over $10 million in grants that go directly to the non-profit community of Central Texas. He was also the Founding Chair of the Dell Children's Medical Center Foundation and now serves on the board of Ascension Seton Williamson Foundation. He has been recognized with the Round Rock Chamber's Citizen of the Year and Lifetime Achievement awards as well as the Round Rock City Council's Local Legend award. Along with his wife Nancy, he has twice been recognized as Philanthropist of the Year by the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

A dedicated wildlife conservationist, Nyle is passionate about wildlife management. He has been a member of the Texas Wildlife Association since 2009 and a member of its Executive Committee for the past 3 years. He currently serves as treasurer.

Giving back and paying it forward are a way of life for the Maxwell family and Nyle is proud of the philanthropic culture fostered in every one of his dealerships. Over the years, numerous good causes and non-profit organizations have benefited from their support and each dealership continues to be passionate about making a positive impact in their communities.

Honoring Heroes: Nyle Maxwell Sponsors Honor Flight Austin for Central Texas Veterans


The Nyle Maxwell Family of Dealerships is honored to support Honor Flight Austin, a nonprofit organization committed to transporting Central Texas military veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit the memorials dedicated to honoring their service and sacrifices. These trips are provided completely free of charge to the veterans as a way to express our nation’s gratitude.


Each year, Nyle Maxwell sponsors at least one Honor Flight, and our employees are invited to take part in the experience—serving as guardians, volunteers, and supporters throughout the journey. It’s a powerful opportunity to give back and connect with the heroes who have defended our freedoms.
