As many of you know, Nancy and I went back in business in May of 2006 upon purchasing the Pontiac-GMC dealership in Round Rock from Group One. Since then, we have worked very hard in building the Nyle Maxwell brand throughout Central Texas. As of today, we own and operate five dealerships: three in the immediate Austin area, one in Killeen and one in Castroville right outside of San Antonio.
After much thought over the last few months, Nancy and I have decided to sell our GMC dealership in Round Rock. The Steele Automotive Group, which has 57 dealerships in Canada and 7 dealerships in Texas, is the buyer. I met extensively with Rob Steele and his executive team before this decision was made. Nancy and I are confident that we are leaving our employees at GMC and our customers in very good hands. As many of you who know Nancy and I well, you know how important that assurance had to be.
This transaction will close on Monday, October 17th. I would like to personally thank each and every one of our customers who have done business with our GMC store throughout the years. You are all very important to us and will always remain that way.

This is what is not happening: over the last week or so, I have been inundated with rumors that Nancy and I are selling all of the Nyle Maxwell stores and retiring from the business. THAT IS SIMPLY NOT TRUE! Our other 4 stores that all represent the Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram and Fiat brands have not been sold and are not for sale.
In fact, we are looking to grow our company through acquisitions. Nancy and I have represented these brands since 1986 in the Central Texas area and we have no plans to stop doing so.
